Youth Vision targets students through new edition of ‘Baisa’

MUSCAT: Youth Vision launches the third edition of its financial literacy programme, ‘Baisa’ which is supported by BP Oman as part of its Social Investment Programme. Targeting school students across Oman, the initiative aims to equip young nationals with analytical knowledge on financial management. Due to great success and popularity of the previous versions, the programme is renewed for a third consecutive year.


“By supporting various programmes, we aim to provide beneficial experiences that not only have sustainable impacts on individuals but on the society as a whole. ‘Baisa’ has proved its effectiveness and positive influence on various segments of the Omani society. We hope that this new version will further contribute to the programmes success,” said Shamsa Ahmed al Rawahi, BP Oman’s Social Investment Programme Officer.


‘Baisa’ focuses on equipping students with financial planning and management skills in a fun and interactive manner, highlighting the most important elements that help participants establish a secure social and economic life. ‘Baisa’ inculcates the fundamentals of finance educates them on ways to manage debts. ‘Baisa’ includes training workshops and engagement activities delivered by qualified trainers in Youth Vision.


“Baisa focuses on introducing the concept of money management through various features. It offers a range of collaborative activities and practical applications to consolidate principles of savings and investment, further improving the financial management skills of participants,” said Ibrahim Hamad al Hinai, Public Relations Specialist at Youth Vision.


Launched in 2010, Youth Vision is one of the most active youth institutions in Oman. Its mission is to create an energetic, productive and leading Omani youth who act as a role model for their peers.
