MUSCAT, June 5 - Oman’s talented Formula 4 racer Shihab bin Ahmed al Habsi finished at 11th place in the third round of Formula 4 races at Spa circuit in Belgium. The young boy was driving for the first time at this circuit under very heavy rain. Shihab’s lack of practice at the international circuits was a factor in getting the result. The lack of sufficient support from the private sector has also been hampering Shihab’s performances. However, although Shihab started the race at 15th place, the young lad managed to finish by getting 11th place. Despite his position in the race, Shihab gained experience with his participation as he learnt to employ the right strategy for reducing the speed in the turnouts and applying the breaks at the right time in the right circuit. The fourth round of the race will take part in Orang circuit from July 13 to 16.
