Water supply work begins in Amerat

AL AMERAT: The Public Authority for Electricity and Water (Diam) has announced the commencement of the water connectivity operations through networks for those who have applied for the service in the Wilayat of Al Amerat. Diam has recently announced that it has completed the implementation of the water network in the areas of Al Mahaj (phase 5), Al Amerat Heights (phases 1,2,3,4,7), the old Amerat (the commercial area near the Wholesale Centre), Al Nahdha (squares 1, 2 and 3 of phase 5), and parts of phase 6. The authority began receiving application from June 11 this year with 1,317 applications received so far and counting. More than 3,000 properties will benefit from the service, said Engineer Said bin Mubarak al Azri, Director, Department of Operations in Muttrah, Al Amerat and Qurayat. He added that the number of beneficiaries from the water services will rise as soon as the network has become operational. — ONA
