MUSCAT: Pakistan Social Club (PSC) Oman organised an event in honour of senior Pakistani community veteran, Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam, at Tulip Inn Downtown Muscat.


Distinguished Pakistanis, Shahid Bashir, Mohammad Yaseen Bhatti, Mian Mohammad Riaz and Mohammad Pervaiz Abu Haroon graced the occasion as guests of honour while Chairman of PSC, Mian Muhammad Munir, and other directors of the club were also present among the guests.


The compere, director of events of PSC and prominent poet, Qamar Riaz, admired Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam’s outstanding efforts as an ex-director of PSM’s BoDs and PSC’s BoDs, towards promoting education, literature and social work for his countrymen in North Batinah Governorate and Muscat Governorate. Muhammad Imran Khizar read his poetry. Mohsin Sheikh highlighted Aslam’s sincere contribution spreading on past four decades for the betterment of Pakistani community.


“He is not only a founder of Pakistan School Sohar but also he worked tirelessly for more than a quarter century to attain a wide piece of land for the school’s building, where hundreds of students are studying now”, dignitaries said. Noted poet, Murawwat Ahmad, paid poetic tribute to the chief guest. Ex-Chairman of PSC, AH Raja said that there is no doubt that Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam is a praiseworthy person who supported his community for years and will be remembered always with good words. On behalf of PSC, Mian Muhammad Munir along-with the guests of honour presented a memento as a token of appreciation to Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam in recognition of his meritorious services to community in the fields of education and social welfare. The chief guest thanked PSC officials, the host, Qamar Riaz, the organising team members, Muhammad Abbas and Kashif Zaeem and the guests.
