Muscat: Ukraine has announced a decision to stop issuing visas on arrival at its international airports from January 1, 2019.

This decision applies to all foreigners including Omani nationals and its purpose is to simplify visa procedures and remove the existing inconveniences for the guests of Ukraine.

At the same time, Omani nationals will continue to have the facility to get electronic visas (e-visas) online through the website http://evisa.mfa.gov.ua. Moreover, instead of visas on arrival, the Ukrainian Government significantly has expands the list of grounds for e-visa issuance.

Starting from January 1, citizens of Oman will be able to apply for e-visa in the following cases - tourist trips, business trips, visiting relatives/friends,  treatment,  participation in sports, cultural, scientific and educational events and mass-media representatives.

E-visa is issued as single-entry for 30 days at a cost of $85.

Besides, Omani nationals are also eligible for obtaining double-entry or multiple entry visas for a period from six months to two years at the Embassy of Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, the authorized Ukrainian Visa Centers in Riyadh and Jeddah (VFS Global Co., locations).
