MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport and Communications inaugurated on Wednesday the Road Design and Standardization of Roads and Bridges (November 2017) in the Sultanate under the patronage of Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications.
The guide copes with the technical and technological development of the road design and implementation sector.
It aims to keep pace with the latest international standards and specifications in this field by establishing a safe, sustainable and high quality road network.
The guide includes four volumes, the first and the second are concerned with the design of roads and bridges. The third volume is for standard specifications for the construction of roads and bridges.
The guide also includes the most important amendments to the regulations and safety of traffic to come in line with the specifications of the GCC countries in this regard.
