Training course in contemporary media

MUSCAT: The first stage of the Institutional Leadership Diploma in Contemporary Media, organised by the Ministry of Information in cooperation with the Integrated Development Centre (IDC), started on Sunday, aimed at effectively developing the skills of the staff to perform leading role in the ministry according to institutional methodology to achieve best results.


Ali bin Khalfan al Jabri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information, who opened the ceremony at the Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a speech that the importance of the Institutional Leadership Diploma in Contemporary Media is a continuous cumulative work for four weeks. He hoped that such training courses would replace the repeated training modules, organised by the ministry in the past.


He explained that the qualitative training courses are now more required by the institutions. He added that four more various diplomas will be carried out in 2018 in the areas that belong to the ministry of various departments and functions assigned to the ministry.


Sixteen employees from various departments of the ministry are participating in the Institutional Leadership Diploma in Contemporary Media. Dr Abdullah Jawdat, Samir al Rifaie and Amal al Rifaie will be lecturing in the second stage.


Participants who complete the diploma requirements and standards are awarded a diploma accredited by Global Academy for Consulting and Training (GACT), UK, along with a certificate in Influence Leadership from the US National Institute of Leadership and Charisma. — ONA
