Tourism projects explored with Iran

TEHRAN: Ahmed bin Nasser al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism, met in Tehran on Sunday with Ali Asghar Mounesan, Vice President of Iran, Head of Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. The two sides explored means of promoting the joint cooperation in all fields that serve the tourism sector between them.


The Minister of Tourism touched on tourism potentials in the Sultanate and its ports, as well as launching maritime routes between the Sultanate and various countries with the aim to enhance the tourism relations.


On his turn, the Iranian Vice President said that the two sides discussed heritage areas, as well as the bilateral coordination at the level of museums.


The minister and his accompanying delegation will visit Qazvin and Shiraz to view their potentials and medical tourism infrastructure, as well as enhancing tourism ties between the Sultanate and Iran. — ONA
