Tourism Ministry to hold GCC roadshow

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Tourism in Oman will organise a roadshow across GCC between October 11 and 7. “The registration is now open for the GCC Roadshow, to be held in five stations in the GCC market from October 7-11 for the companies and hotels that would like to participate and block space for stalls,” the ministry said in a statement. It may be noted that the number of GCC guests to Oman increased by 5.5 per cent to 82,394 at the end of July 2018, compared to 78,110 for the same period in 2017. Over 800,000 tourists travelled to Salalah until the end of September 7, 2018 with a growth rate of 28.6 per cent.  Of these tourists, 72.3 per cent of them were Omanis, followed by Emiratis (9.3 per cent) and GCC nationals (9.3 per cent). — ONA
