By Lakshmi Kothaneth — MUSCAT: Feb. 22 – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has published different routes for visitors reaching the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), the venue of Muscat International Book Fair 2017, from different governorates. Visitors coming via Sultan Qaboos Street have to continue until the new airport flyover, where they have to turn right towards Muscat Expressway and head to the first traffic light and take another right to the exhibition. Motorists coming from Qurum and using Sultan Qaboos Street have to take the new airport flyover, turn right towards Muscat Expressway until the first traffic light and then at the traffic signal, turn right to the OCEC.
Those coming from Al Amerat, Qurayat and Al Sharqiyah South have to use the Muscat Expressway heading to the Ghala Industrial bridge, which leads to Haya Sewage Plant. They have to continue on the same route until they reach the new intersection traffic light of airport project flyover. “At this point, take a U-turn, turn right to the roundabout and to the exhibition,” says an ROP statement. Visitors from South and North Al Batinah, and Al Dakhiliyah must take the Muscat Expressway to reach the airport flyover and take the farthest right to reach the traffic signal at the newly opened intersection and turn right heading Ghala. At the Ghala bridge traffic signal connecting to Muscat Airport, take a right turn, another right at the traffic island, and then onto to the roundabout that leads to the OCEC.
