MUSCAT: Around 150 pupils from Grade 7 to Grade 12 took part in the Summer Camp organised by the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS). In the seven weeks long, five-days a week camp, pupils were divided into five groups based on age and level of English language proficiency after a placement assessment. The four-hour session was designed to help the participants learn the nuances of English language through various activities in the class. The sessions, conducted by the faculty of MCBS, were created to help the participants gain skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The intensive interactive sessions have enabled the pupils to gain skills in interactive English, which is absent in their normal school course. The students are imparted language lessons through discussions, debates, role plays and other activities such as poster and banner designing.
