Sultanate’s new embassy building opens in Lebanese capital

BEIRUT: The new building of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman was inaugurated in Beirut on Monday under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tareq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.






HH Sayyid Asaad and Saad al Hariri unveiled the commemorative plaque for the embassy building which consists of a reception hall, consular section, offices of embassy members, a library and other services, in addition to the residence of the ambassador and the members of the embassy, which was built on an area of about 4,000 square metres.






Speaking on the occasion, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to Lebanon Badr bin Mohammed al Mantheri expressed his happiness and appreciation for the patronage of HH Sayyid Asaad and Hariri, the opening of the Sultanate’s new embassy building in Beirut. He wished the relations between the Sultanate and the Lebanese Republic further development, cooperation under the leadership of the two brotherly countries, led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and Lebanese President General Michel Aoun.






The ceremony was attended by Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, a number of senior officials from the Sultanate and the Lebanese Republic, former presidents in Lebanon, heads of diplomatic missions in Lebanon and guests and media men.
