Sultanate’s ambassador presents credentials to Japan Emperor

TOKYO: Emperor Akihito of Japan received in the Imperial Palace in Tokyo Dr Mohammed bin Said al Busaidi, who presented his credentials as the Sultanate’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Japan. During the meeting, Dr Al Busaidi conveyed greetings and wishes of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to Emperor Akihito. Emperor Akihito welcomed the ambassador and asked him to convey his greetings and best wishes of good health and wellbeing to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress and welfare under His Majesty’s wise leadership. He also wished the ambassador success in carrying out his duties in a way that contributes in promoting the bilateral relations towards further horizons in all spheres. The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by Yoshitaka Sakurada, Minister in charge of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and a number of senior Japanese officials. It was also attended by members of the Sultanate’s Embassy to Japan. — ONA
