MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO), will organise on October 8th, the 4th Arab Regional Trade Policy Forum, with the participation of 21 participants from various Arab countries, which will be hosted by Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) until November 30th.
The forum aims at highlighting the WTO agreements, rules and procedures, enhancing the participants’ understanding of the trade policies under these agreements and contributing to their skills related to WTO, in addition to providing them with sufficient information about the organisation and the agreements signed within it.
It also aims at supporting their ability to formulate trade policies of their countries and providing them with skills in analysing the trade policies of WTO member states and their positive and negative impacts on Arab countries. — ONA
