Sultanate revenues rise 29%

The total revenues of the Sultanate have risen by 29 per cent to RO 4 billion in the first half of this year compared with RO 3.1 billion during the same period last year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). Oil revenues stood at RO 2.1 billion, an increase of 46 per cent, while gas revenues registered RO 682 million and other revenues recorded RO 748 million. The total deficit recorded RO 2.4 billion at the end of June this year, compared with RO 3.5 billion at the same period of last year.
