Sultanate participate in concluding session of FAO Regional Consultative Technical meeting

Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, concluded its participation in the Regional Consultative Technical Meeting to discuss impact of Covid-19 pandemic on Agriculture and Food Security in the Near East and North Africa Region, in preparation for the 35th session of FAO Regional Conference for the Near East.

The 4th virtual meeting on Thursday, chaired by Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for Agriculture, representing the Sultanate, touched on better rebuilding to shape the response , and setting regional priorities that will enable facing the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in the region, in addition to clarifying the role of FAO in supporting countries for “better re-building”. –ONA
