Sultanate, Nepal discuss energy sector investment

MUSCAT: Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Sultanate, held a meeting with Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhy, Minister of Oil and Gas, on Monday. Dr Al Rumhy welcomed Sarmila Parajuli and expressed happiness over the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and thanked for the meeting and briefed about Nepal’s current socio-economic and political situation. Both held discussions on various means of cooperation in oil and gas, fertiliser and investment on energy sectors in the near future.  The minister expressed his desire to cooperate in the various sectors of oil, gas and hydro-power sector and also emphasised that Nepal can be a great market for Oman’s oil and gas. The ambassador also extended an invitation to Dr Al Rumhy to pay an official visit to Nepal for further cooperation between the two countries.
The minister welcomed the invitation and expressed his willingness to visit Nepal at the earliest possible time.
