Sultanate marks Omani Environment Day

Suhar: The Ministry of Manpower today launched the Sultanate's celebrations to mark the Omani Environment Day which falls on January 8th each year.




An event was organized today by the Environment and Climate Affairs Administration in the Governorate of North Al Batinah at Majan Hall in the Wilayat of Suhar.




The event was sponsored by Sayyid Marwan bin Turki bin Mahmoud al Said in the presence of Najeeb bin Ali al Rowas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and a number of walis, honorable members of the State Council, Majlis A'Shura, public and private officials.




The event included a number of poems, and Omani traditional songs, in addition to a presentation on the Sultanate's efforts to conserve environment.




An exhibition by a number of public and private organization on their role in preserving the Omani environment was also opened. --ONA
