NEW YORK: Oman and Latvia signed in New York on Monday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for bilateral consultations. The MoU was signed by Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and Edgars Rinkevics, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. The MoU includes consultations and meetings on a regular basis to review the development bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as exchanging views and coordinating positions on regional and international issues of mutual interest. The consultations are held alternately in Muscat and Riga.
The two parties can hold consultations through their permanent missions to the United Nations in New York.
The two parties’ delegations for consultations to be chaired by the ministers, their deputies, the directors of departments, or any other level agreed upon by the two parties. The delegations can include experts from both parties. — ONA
