Sultanate joins Asian health body

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health (MoH) joined the Asian Harmonisation Working Party (AHWG) for Medical Devices. Joining the AHWG enables the ministry to participate actively in the different technical teams of the party concerned with medical devices control.
In addition, this joining will contribute to keep pace with the developments of the other international regulatory bodies, as well as exchanging experiences and benefiting from the global experiences. This step comes within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to communicate with the international and regional organisations in various health fields. The AHWP aims to unify the trend towards the medical devices and products control in Asia and raising awareness towards the importance of harmonisation and achieving with the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF). — ONA
