Sultanate, Cyprus discus ways to boost cooperation

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received on Monday Ioannis Kasoulidis, Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Cyprus.


The Cypriot Foreign Minister conveyed greetings of President Nicos Anastasiades of Republic of Cyprus to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos along with his best wishes of permanent successes to His Majesty and the Omani people further progress and growth.


The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of supporting aspects of cooperation between them in several areas, besides activating the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two sides.


The meeting also reviewed the current regional and international developments.


The Cypriot Foreign Affairs Minister affirmed his country’s appreciation to the policy being pursued by the Sultanate in its relations with the world’s countries,


stressing the importance of this visit at the level of exchanging visions and consultation.


He also praised the existing coordination between the foreign ministries in the two countries.


The meeting was attended by Andreas Panayiotou, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Sultanate. — ONA
