Sultanate continues participation in UPU extraordinary congress

Addis Ababa: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, will continue its participation in the extraordinary congress of the universal Posta Union (UPU) which will be held at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa.

The Sultanate’s delegation is chaired by Dr Hamad bin Salim al Rawahi, CEO of the TRA.

The delegation includes Jasim bin Ubaid al Saadi, Charge d’Affaires of the Sultanate’s Embassy in Ethiopia, Dr Saud bin Humaid bin Salim al Shaili, Director General of Communications and Post Services at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and Iman Akbar, Business Development Manager for the Middle East and North Africa at Oman Post.

The congress is an important platform for the transfer and exchange of experiences and knowledge and to benefit from successful experiences in postal sector practices.

The aim of this participation is to benefit the postal sector from the decisions that will be taken by the Union, and that the decision will consider the national interest. –ONA
