The Sultanate strongly condemned the terrorist attacks which targeted a security patrol in Qatif Governorate in Saudi Arabia and a military checkpoint in North Sinai in Egypt.

The statement by the Foreign Ministry renewed the Sultanate’s solidarity with the brothers in Saudi Arabia and Egypt against terrorism and violence.

The Sultanate offered condolences to the families of the victims and the governments of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, wishing the injured speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Egypt held funerals on Saturday for at least 21 soldiers killed in an attack by the IS

group in the Sinai Peninsula, officials said. The attack on Friday was one the deadliest against the military in an insurgency that has killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers in the past four years.
