TUNIS: The Sultanate will take part in the 16th conferences for heads of civil defence organisations at the Arab League HQs’. Delegations from the Arab states, the Arab Organisation for Red Crescent and the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO).
The Sultanate’s delegation is led by Brig Salim bin Yahya al Hinai, Director General of Civil Defence.
The conference discusses a number of important themes, such as the Arab Emergency Response Agreement and developing a standard Arab code for strict control over the explosive materials.
The conference will also discuss the member countries plans to address the leakage of toxic and hazardous materials, as well as their experience in forest fires and psychological care for victims of disasters. — ONA
