Sultan Qaboos eGov award winners to be revealed today

MUSCAT: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information, will present Sultan Qaboos e-governance awards at the Sultan Qaboos University Cultural Centre on Tuesday. Out of 64 participating projects from 38 government units, private and SMEs institutions, only 11 projects will be honoured. This year, the awards are in 11 categories across government, private and SMEs sectors. The government sector entities can compete in eight different categories; Best e-Service including (G2E, G2B), Best e-Services via Mobile including (G2E, G2B), Best whole of government project, Best service supporting doing business, Best e-participation for decision-making initiative and Best e-transformation achievement. Whereas the private sector’s large organisations can compete in two categories: Best Public e-Service and Best Public Mobile e-Service. Private sector ICT Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can compete in Best SME e-Service.
