SOHAR: Ten students recently returned from Sohar International School’s trip to London during the April break. They left excited, but rather apprehensive, unsure of what to expect. However, their trip exceeded everyone’s expectations!

Based at the Safe Stay Elephant and Castle, students and teachers explored London using its fantastic public transport system. Most of the students had never travelled via tubes or bus before, so this was a new and exciting experience.

All the major hotspots were visited namely Madame Tussaud, The Globe Theatre, The London Dungeon, Eye of London, Natural History Museum, The Tate and British Museum.

The highlights included a visit to the Harry Potter Studio, a trip to Stonehenge, a day trip to Cambridge, and a theatre show on Westend.

The visit to Cambridge University was specifically exciting as the school offers the Cambridge International Examinations curriculum up to ‘A’ level at the school.

The students and teachers returned, having learnt much about and experienced so many new things, sad to say goodbye to their London adventure.  Giving their students these opportunities fits in perfectly with the school’s commitment to holistic education.
