Students affected by food poisoning recover

Muscat, Oct 1 – All students, except for five, affected by food poisoning at Moosa Bin Ali School in Barkat al Mooz last week, have recovered and have been sent home. The five are still under observation.
A total of 55 students between 10 and 18 years were affected.
While 30 were admitted to Nizwa Hospital, the remaining were treated at Izki Hospital, according to the General Directorate of Education in Al Dakhiliyah.
The students fell ill after they ate food provided by a restaurant contracted by the school. Suliman bin Matar al Harrasi, the school’s manager, said: “All our students are fine now. They have returned to school.”
