BEIJING: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, met at Chinese capital Beijing with Ning Jizhe, Vice-Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China.

They exchanged views on how to upgrade economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries, as the NDRC is responsible for promoting foreign trade and investment exchanges with other countries.

The meeting was attended by Dr Abdullah bin Saleh al Saadi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to China, Abdulaziz bin Moosa al Kharousi, Deputy Head of the Secretary-General, Department for Programmes and Communications, and the delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr from the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa), the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD) and Chinese officials.

There is cooperation between the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), the State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), and the NDRC of China, which is supervising the Chinese investments in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm (SEZD). — ONA
