State Council’s Vice Chairperson receives invite for Doha Forum

MUSCAT: The State Council’s Vice Chairperson, Dr Suad Mohamed ali Sulaiman al Lawati received an invite to participate in the 17th Doha Forum, to be held in the Qatari capital from 14-15 May Ali bin Fahad al Hajri, Qatar’s Ambassador to the Sultanate,


The Vice Chairperson, during the meeting stressed on the historical ties and the depth and strength of close brotherly relations between the Sultanate and Qatar.


She expressed the hope that the relations will witness further development and progress in all fields in light of the keenness of the leadership of both countries to support and strengthen them for mutual welfare.


The Vice Chairperson highlighted the role of the Gulf Cooperation Council in promoting and achieving coordination, reciprocal and interdependence among member states in all fields and strengthening of ties for the benefit of their people.


She thanked the forum organizers for the invite and wished the Forum organizers to achieve its desired goals.


Ambassador Al Hajri praised the advanced level of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields, and pointed out that the future of these relations promises more progress and prosperity.


In this regard, he referred to the economic partnership projects currently under implementation between the two brotherly countries.


The seventeenth session of the Doha Forum is titled “Development, Stability and Refugee Crisis”. The forum has proved its international presence throughout its previous sixteen conferences since its inception.


It regularly discusses political, economic, regional and international issues, receives the participation experts, academicians, politicians, decision makers, specialists, businesspersons and civil society organizations across the world.


They discuss ways to achieve stability, regional and global prosperity and decide on ways to handle and address the challenges facing global stability.
