State Council panel discusses study on challenges faced by pvt sector

MUSCAT: The Economic Committee at the State Council on Monday held its 3rd meeting of the 2nd annual sitting of the 6th term under the chairmanship of  Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Harthy, Head of the Committee.
The committee discussed the draft study on the challenges of private sector and work policies development.
The committee reviewed outcomes of the study, which indicated that the main challenges facing the private sector include providing attractive work environment, correcting labour market imbalances and their associated issue, creating jobs for Omanis, removing market access barriers and ensuring equal opportunities for all players at the market.
The committee also approved minutes of the previous meeting, followed up the decisions implemented, reviewed the new items and took necessary decisions towards them. — ONA
