State Council delegation back from Poland tour

MUSCAT: The delegation representing the Omani side of Oman-Poland Friendship Committee from the State Council, led by Salim bin Ismail bin Suwaid, head of the committee, returned on Saturday after concluding a fruitful visit to Poland in response to an invite received from the Polish Senate. The delegation included Nada al Jamali, Rahma al Musharrafi, Dr Saleh al Busaidy and Mohammed al Khatheri. The visit comes within the framework of mutual visits between the two sides to develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and enhance cooperation between them, especially in parliamentary fields.
The programme of the delegation’s visit included meetings with a number of officials and parliamentary discussions. The Omani delegation held meetings with the Speaker of the Polish Senate and Stanislaw Karczewsk, Vice-President of the Polish Senate and the President of the Polish Tourism Organisation Robert Andrzejek. They also visited several universities and scientific institutions in Poland where they met the Polish Rectors of Polish universities and discussed the promotion of scientific cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields of higher education.
