Sports Minister receives Burundi speaker, IEF vice-president

Muscat: Shaikh Saad bin Mohammed al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs received in his office on Monday Révérien Ndikuriyo, speaker of the Senate and President of the Football Federation of Burundi (FFB) and his accompanying delegation. At the beginning of the meeting, the minister welcomed the guest wishing him a nice stay in the Sultanate. They discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of further enhancing them in various fields to benefit the peoples of both countries. They also reviewed a number of issues of common concern in the sports field particular football and ways of exchanging expertise in coordination with the Oman Football Federation (OFA).
The minister of sports affairs also received Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah al Khalifa, Vice-President of the International Equestrian Federation (IEF). They reviewed ways of developing equestrian. The IEF official praised the good relations and cooperation between the two sides which, he said, has contributed to the development of the equestrian adding that the Sultanate hosted many regional and international equestrian championships.
