SME Fund conducts Certified Entrepreneurship Programme

The 2nd module of the Certified Entrepreneurship Educator programme of the SME Development Fund was launched yesterday under the auspices of Tahir bin Salim al Amri. This SMEF initiative is aimed at helping in building entrepreneurship faculty in Oman. As many as 41 faculty from 26 colleges are participating in this programme.


As a part of “Entrepreneurial Campus” initiative, SMEF had launched its first edition of the Certified Entrepreneurship Educator (CEE) programme in 2015.


This 4-module programme is conducted by a visiting entrepreneurship faculty of global repute. Addressing the faculty, Salah al Maawali, CEO – SMEF, said the programme aims to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Sultanate by equipping the local faculty with additional tools and skills.


SMEF launched the first module of the 2nd batch of CEE in October 2017. The current module is the second in the series and is being conducted by Alex Capri, Lecturer – Business School at the National University of Singapore and ex-Partner and Regional Leader KPMG, Hong Kong. Assisting him is Prof Viren Lall – Entrepreneurship Educator & Managing Director, Change School, UK


On successful completion of all modules and intra modular activities, the faculty will be certified by the Ministry of Higher Education and SMEF as Certified Entrepreneurship Educators.
