MUSCAT: Shaikh Ali bin Nasser al Mahrouqi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura, has said that Majlis Ash’shura will host Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed al Shabibi, Minister of Housing, on May 24 and 25. The meeting will discuss the statement of the Ministry of Housing. The Secretary-General said the statement includes five themes and covers various aspects, including the preparation of layouts and land plots for various uses, distribute them to their beneficiaries, provide housing assistance and loans, and the construction of social housing.
He added that the first theme will discuss the requirements that are taken into account by the ministry in the selection of locations of urban plans for different purposes, while the second theme will talk about the procedures for the distribution of land plots . Al Mahrouqi also added that the theme will discuss the conditions and requirements of housing assistance and housing loans, while the fourth theme will deal with ownership and development of real estate in terms of the conditions and requirements to allow the developers of real estate in the housing sector to build residential complexes. — ONA
