MUSCAT: The Muscat International Book Fair Committee will hold a seminar on “Children and the Future Media” on February 27 and 28th at the Public Children’s Library in Al Qurum under the auspices of Ali bin Khalfan al Jabri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information.
The seminar is part of the Muscat International Book Fair in its 23rd session. It aims to raise awareness of the media and the importance of media education for children and highlight the role of the media in raising generations and developing their thinking and skills.
The seminar also aims to discuss the reality of media aimed at children and their challenges, encourage and highlight the media initiatives and experiences aimed at children locally and at Arab level, as well as encouraging the institutions in the child information industry to innovate and develop.
The seminar deals with two themes: “Media and Children between Reality and Expectation” and “Initiatives, Experiences and Applications in Children’s Media.” — ONA
