The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has just received FCC certification, which is required before a device can be released to the public. It’s now believed that Samsung will beat Apple to the punch and launch its latest flagship tablet ahead of the company with a MWC 2017 kickoff. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will reportedly use a 9.6-inch 2,048 x 1,536 display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which is beginning to show its age with the Snapdragon 821 on many devices and the Snapdragon 835 launching with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

The Tab S3 will supposedly include 32 GB of internal storage with only 24 GB available to the user and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 256 GB microSD cards to further increase available memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will run Android 7.0 Nougat under Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. In terms of the Galaxy Tab S3’s camera capabilities, recent reports suggest the tablet will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video conferencing. The Galaxy Tab S3 will have a sleek design and will be ultra-thin at 5.6mm thickness.

Samsung will reportedly release the Galaxy Tab S3 initially in Korea beginning in March. Pricing for the new tablet will supposedly be around $600 and will include both a Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 4G LTE options. Like the Galaxy Note 7, upcoming Galaxy S8, and S8 Plus, the Tab S3 will supposedly include a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. Meanwhile, Apple is widely expected to release a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2, 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2, and more affordable 9.7-inch iPad in the spring.
