SALALAH, May 22 - Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) and Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) are monitoring the weather conditions regularly and all the government departments are on high alert. At the time of writing this report, Salalah sky was partly cloudy and weather experts are expecting overcast sky during the night which can result in humidity. On Wednesday it is likely to have high clouds hovering all over Dhofar. The building up of pressure can turn into a storm and change in the weather conditions is expected to begin from tomorrow night. As per current PACA status, the centre of storm is located at 9.5 degrees North Latitude and 57 degrees East Longitude. Dhofar likely to receive heavy rainfall this weekend and the sea would be extremely rough. The PACA advisory suggests fishermen not to venture into the sea and local people have been asked to keep an eye on weather updates.
