MUNICH: The Sultanate was named the best (and safest) place for women living alone in the Arab world and second internationally after Luxemburg according to a survey conducted by German Intonations network also known as Expat Insider. Norway came third followed by New Zealand, Switzerland, Finland, Singapore, Denmark, the UAE and Canada. The Sultanate was ranked among the top 10 safest and best destinations to live abroad, being the second best among Arab countries and tenth in international ranking. Sixty-one per cent of the expats surveyed consider political stability as the best advantage in the Sultanate while 94 per cent said Oman is a quiet and peaceful country with natural beauty and friendly people.
