MUSCAT: General Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, received in his office on Thursday Lt Gen John Lorimer, Defence Senior Adviser for Middle East in the United Kingdom (UK), and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Sultanate.
The two sides exchanged conversations. They discussed aspects of the cooperation between the two countries. They also reviewed the march of historic relations.
The UK Defence Senior Adviser for Middle East expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Sultanate.
The meeting comes within the framework of the preparations of both the Sultanate and the friendly United Kingdom to execute the Swift Sword 3 Exercise.
Separately, General Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani also received in his office on Thursday General Joseph Votel, Commander of the US Central Command.
General Al Numani welcomed the guest and his accompanying delegation. On his turn, the US guest expressed his thanks and appreciation to General Al Numani.
The Commander of the US Central Command affirmed his country’s keenness to enhance all aspects of the existing cooperation between the Sultanate and the friendly United States. Conversations were exchanged and joint issues were discussed during the meeting to achieve interests of the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador to the Sultanate. — ONA
