ROP to meet car rental companies on traffic violations

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP), represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, will meet with rent-a-car companies and their representatives to discuss the issue of traffic violations recorded on their vehicles.

The meeting will be Directorate General of Traffic at the Institute of Traffic Safety on February 20.

In separate announcement, ROP said the as per the traffic law any seized vehicles can be kept for a public auction if the owner does not come and pay dues within six months from the date of confiscation.

ROP said it will not have any any responsibility over the vehicle placed in its yard after six months.
