RNO Commander receives Pakistani official

MUSCAT: Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), on Wednesday received Rear Admiral Asif Khaliq, Commander of Karachi Naval Area in Pakistan, in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafa.
The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and discussed viewpoints on several matters of navy between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by Commodore Marhoon bin Mansoor al Riyami, Director-General of Support at the RNO Command, RNO senior officers and the Military Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy in Muscat.
Rear Admiral Asif Khaliq’s visit was in connection with the joint ‘Good Fruit’ naval exercise, conducted by the RNO with the participation of vessels of the Pakistani navy.
The exercise, which concluded on Wednesday, comes within the framework of the annual training plans of the RNO to exchange experiences with friendly countries. — ONA
