MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for SMEs Development (Riyada) on Tuesday held its 3rd meeting for 2017 under the chairmanship of Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Riyada Board Chairman.
The Board viewed the study presented by Zubair Small Enterprises Centre pertaining to database of SMEs.
The study was an initiative of the Centre, in coordination with the Riyada Executive Committee.
The study aims to assist Riyada to obtain an overall assessment for labour sectors that can be developed through finding knowledge centres or learning centres for such sectors.
The Riyada Board also viewed presentations for models of entrepreneurial initiatives by entrepreneurs.
It also reviewed impact of outcomes of the support programme for winners of the 1st and 2nd editions of the Entrepreneurship Award through which meeting with winners as successful models that achieved sales and an added value for the national economy. — ONA
