MUSCAT: Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office, received in his office on Monday Gen Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the British Army, within the framework of his current visit to the Sultanate.


Gen Nuamani welcomed the guest who expressed his delight of this visit, which comes within the framework of the keenness being accorded by governments of the two countries to enhance the existing cooperation between the Sultanate and United Kingdom (UK).


The two sides exchanged cordial conversations. They also reviewed march of the good bilateral relations binding the two countries in all fields and means of promoting them to achieve the joint interests.


The meeting also touched on several matters of common concern. The meeting was attended by Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, the UK Ambassador to the Sultanate and the delegation accompanying the guest. — ONA
