Registration date for Entrepreneurship Award deferred

The registration date for the third edition of the Entrepreneurship Award has been postponed until the 22nd August 2017, giving potential applicants an extra month to participate in the Award. The applicants can apply for the awards through its official website (theaward.riyada.om). Thus far, over 255 applications have been received and continue to flux. Aiming to inspire small, micro and medium businesses, the Entrepreneurship Award, seeks to enrich the competence of SMEs and entrepreneurship to be one of the major benefactors to an evolving economy, based on technical aptitude, research, latest skillsets and innovation.


“Due to the vigorous selection process, it is important to read the conditions and answer all questions in the online application form. Applicants are requested to register in the right category, ensure they meet all criteria and attach all necessary documents using the provided template. Completing these steps successfully will have a positive impact on the assessment of total results,” said Badriya Al Hinai, Project Manager of the Award.


There will be 15 awards divided into three main categories: Entrepreneurship Award, which include best entrepreneur, Best Educational Initiative, Best Media Initiative and Best SME Development Initiative. Entrepreneurship Award for SME, which includes eight awards: Best Home Business, Best Micro Business, Best Small Business (industrial, trading, service) and Best Medium Business (industrial, trading, service). For those interested in supporting entrepreneurship and SMEs, the third category offers three awards – Best Support from Large Company, Best Support from a Government Institution and Best Financial Support
