Rains expected in Oman Sea coast

By Lakshmi Kothaneth — MUSCAT: Feb 15 - Light to moderate isolated rain is expected along the Oman Sea coast today, according to the Met office. Moderate to heavy rains will continue in Musandam and Al Buraimi Governorates until Saturday morning, said the weather forecaster at Public Authority Civil Aviation (PACA). The rest of the Sultanate will continue to be partly cloudy. By Saturday afternoon/evening, skies are expected to be clear. The northwesterly wind is expected to blow from Saturday late night or Sunday morning and is expected to last until Monday. The northwesterly wind is expected to bring down the temperature. Sea waves in the west of Musandam and Oman Sea coast are expected to be moderate with a height of 1.5 metres. Fishermen have been asked to be cautious during the period.
