The latest landmark in the making is in Qurum looking across the Royal Opera House Muscat. Once upon a time this stretch of lawn with six to seven date palms was also a favourite hangout for the youth to play
football.
And now this project by Muscat Municipality is generating curiosity and enthusiasm to find out what the end result would be.
The structure with silver finishing reflected sun on Sunday afternoon. It could be one of the major attractions for photography enthusiasts.
And the questions, looking at the path ways along the lawn spread, that has come up is, “Would people be able to walk here enjoying the landscape design that has brought together nature and art?”
“Is it a metal sculpture?” is yet another question people are thinking out loud. The landscape has attracted attention even before it is formally unveiled.
