Programme to train 45 Saudi students in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower signed at its HQs' today the joint cooperation programme with the Saudi Cooperative Societies Council.




The programme targets the training and development of 45 Saudi students at the Vocational College for Maritime Sciences in Al Khabourah.




The programme includes educating and rehabilitating students in maritime fields in a bid to enhance the Ministry's efforts to promote community support sustainability .




The programme includes 9 modules that cover a number of fields, such as maritime safety, radio communications, fishing technologies and maritime machinery, fish quality control and applied works in the sea.




Eng Harib bin Harith al Mahrouqi, Director General of Vocational Training at the Ministry of Manpower said that the joint cooperation between the Ministry of Manpower and the Saudi Cooperative Societies Council is a model for cooperation as it achieves economic diversification and create a qualified and trained human resources that can meet the needs of the Gulf market.









On his part, Eng Salim bin Taeeb, Director of the Vocational College for Marine Science in Al Khaborah said that the programme reflects the good reputation of the college in the Gulf region with relation to providing training services in maritime fields, such as maritime navigation, fishing , maritime machinery, fish quality control and aquaculture.




On his part, Eng Khalid Abdel Mohsen al Batea, member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Saudi Cooperative Societies Council said that the Vocational College for Maritime Sciences in Al Khabourah has been selected due to its good reputation and the high quality of its outputs. --ONA
