MUSCAT: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) participated at the Telecom Innovations Oman 2017 — Conference, which was held at the Crowne Plaza, Muscat under the patronage of Sayyid Fahad bin al Julanda bin Majid Al Said, Assistant Secretary General for Innovation Support, The Research Council (TRC). The two-day conference was organised under the auspices of Ministry of Transport and Communications and had the support of The Research Council. PEIE took part as a main sponsor in the event. PEIE’s participation in this conference comes in line with its contribution to ensure the availability of infrastructure services for technology, telecommunications and various investment incentives in the Sultanate.
A number of government and non-government stake holders responsible for development of Telecommunications, Innovations and Information Communication Technologies; that help benefit Government, Business, Education, Consumer, Youth and Children showcased their commitment and contribution by sharing their vision and strategies at the Conference towards achieving a unified goal of Oman National Development Agenda. The conference and exhibition covered Borderless Broadband, Cloud & Big Data, Connect Everywhere, IoT — Internet of Things, Enterprise Mobility, Security and Cyber Security, Smart Cities, and Satcomm. The event had delegates attend from various sectors and 14 expert papers were presented.
