PDO eyes 36,000 jobs in two years

Muscat, Dec 25 - Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) targets to create 17,000 jobs for Omanis in 2018 besides 19,000 jobs for Omanis in 2019 as part of an ambitious plan initiated by the company this year. This was stated by Mohammed bin Ahmed al Gharibi, Director, In-country Value (ICV) Department. He added that the company is endeavouring to launch 16 projects in 2018. PDO has, since the beginning of the strategy to opened 35 plants and workshops within the framework of its In-Country Value (ICV) strategy with $99 million worth of investments.
