Muscat, Oct 14 - The General Assembly of Al Khabourah held its first meeting to form a Parents’ Council recently. The meeting, held under the chairmanship of Shaikh Suleiman bin Salem al Mahrouqi of Braaem Al Khabourah School, was aimed at establishing strong relations between parents and children. Al Mahrouqi said: “Parents’ Council aims at overcoming the difficulties of parents’ councils in schools, raising proposals for the projects needed for schools and recognising good students.” It was felt such a council is needed to help helping schools raise the level of academic achievement by offering suggestions that contribute to improving the results of students. A ten-member council committee and a council rapporteur were also selected.
